The character development is what makes the show funny. It ranges from an overweight pink bunny father who is definitely no the smartest man in the show. In fact many of the male gender seem like they aren't the brightest. Only a but a few are, and play the voice of reason in some cases. They also seem like the go with the flow type of people. Not the ones to cause many problems and if they do, it's unintentional. As for the female roles they are the smarter species. There is the strong blue cat mom who has anger issues but is smart and the four year old little sister who is intelligent enough to be in junior high. Then there are the old people. They are all old and sit outside on the lawn and use electric wheel chairs to move around. They are cranky when the younger generation comes around and laugh when they get hurt. Those are the major characters so they do develop over time. What I noticed about this show is that there are a lot of side characters. At one point or another each side character gets there own episode so their character is developed. Like I said before the males are that smart and the females are. So when a boy gets their own episode you see that they are still are dumb and see how the girls are smart.
Overall if you want a good laugh just watch this show. I could watch it all the time and wont complain.
